What makes this activity unique is you and the people in it. The concept for this activity was born out of a customer's suggestion, when they were visiting our family business to see the jewelry-making process. We explained to them about Balinese culture, history and house concepts, and they suggested we create an activity so travelers could experience making jewelry while learning more about Bali. We are an experienced, quality and friendly team who have been working as silversmiths for over 15 years - making us qualified enough to be the instructors for this activity. Our native upbringing has allowed us to become experts on Balinese culture, traditions, history and house concepts which we can share with those booking our activities. Furthermore some of our team members are also tour guides who can help you with other things too! So come join us soon!

Itinerary

In my village, Delodsema, 70% of the men are engaged in silver smithing. This craft is ubiquitous here and accounts for over 60% of the economic activity. Being raised in a family involved in this profession has inspired me to create an experience that allows you to make your own jewelry. Furthermore, it helps local people earn more money from their work while also promoting it to foreigners. All instructors are local and part of our income goes back into the village.
The day begins with pick up and a drive to the workshop. We will greet you with coffee or tea accompanied by Balinese snacks as a warm welcome from us. While enjoying our refreshments we will provide some information about Balinese lifestyle, culture and traditions, followed by showing you examples of what can be made. Feel free to share any design ideas that might come to mind! Afterward we'll begin preparing the silver - always close at hand should you need any help along the way; from heating, cutting and cleaning through to polishing your finished product - ensuring your safety throughout and satisfaction with what you have created.
