Paris volleyball presents one of the most beautiful achievements in French sport. It is even the only representative of Ile de France to have won the prestigious Champions League in 2001. Backed by one of the first multi-sport clubs in history, the PUC (Paris University Club),part of the titles that Paris volleyball can claim by descent comes from the 1940s (French champion twice) and 60s (four times) and then from the resurrection from the volleyball section in 1993 (three times champion, 96.97, 98).
The professional entity, still relying on the PUC for its young teams, absorbed PSG Racing in 1998, and took the name of Paris Volley. The modern phase of the club boasts an unparalleled success. French champion, four years in a row from 2000 to 2003 under the direction of Glenn Hoag, then four more consecutive titles from 2006 to 2009 under that of Mauricio Paes.
