This is an experience of making tatami cushions so you can feel Japan even after going back home. You will be taught by the 4th generation owner of a tatami mat shop founded in the first year of Showa(1926).
HIGHLIGHTS:
This is an experience of making tatami mats that fit the size of a chair, born from the desire of artisans “to sit on tatami mats even after returning home."
You can choose from various patterns for the edge, so you can create a design that you like.
You can also experience the depth of tatami mats used in Japanese houses by using the needles and threads dedicated for making tatami mats.
The 4th generation of a tatami craftsman will teach you directly.
You will be able to see Japanese houses which use tatami.
