Souss Massa National Park From Agadir

Overview

This 33,800 hectare park, established in 1991, extends from Agadir in the north to Tiznit in the south and is situated at the mouth of the Massa River. With its discovery trails and spectacular scenery - coastal cliffs, sand dunes, wetlands and steppes - it forms an integral part of Morocco's national heritage. It boasts a myriad of rare and endemic species as well as abundant plant life with over 300 different varieties (including argan trees, thuja, eucalyptus and euphorbia), 13 of which are native to this region. Furthermore there are 24 species of mammals (mongooses, foxes, jackals, wild boars and wild cats), 250 bird species plus 26 amphibians/reptiles including 4 antelopes: addax oryx Dama Mhorr and Dorcas gazelles; not forgetting the red-necked ostrich.
Sadly though all these animals remain threatened with extinction.

Itinerary

Stop At: National Park of Souss Massa, Toundoute Morocco

This experience includes free pick-up and drop-off service to ensure you the best possible enjoyment. The park is about 40 minutes from Agadir where the pickup takes place at 8am. While en route, visitors will be treated to amazing views of steppes, cliffs and coastal dunes. You will have the chance to observe antelopes, red-necked ostriches and gazelles during your tour before arriving at the museum inside the park - here you can learn all about endangered species that may be spotted during your visit. Afterwards explore on your own!
