Stop At: St. Catherine's Monastery, At the Foot of Mount Horeb, Saint Catherine Egypt

Departing from Sharm el-sheik at 7 in the morning, we will take a three-hour journey to visit St. Catherine’s Monastery. This Orthodox monastery is widely renowned and can stake claim to being one of Christianity's oldest monasteries. It is situated in the Sinai Peninsula at an altitude of 1570 meters near the place where, according to legend, Moses saw God through a burning bush that did not burn up. The monastery was named after saint Catherine - an early Christian martyr from Alexandria - during the 11th century and contains numerous monuments such as the Burning Bush seen by Moses and its remarkable Icons Gallery.
