Matsushima, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan, has a lot to see. The sea is dotted with uniquely-shaped islands, and there are historical buildings such as Entsu-in Temple and Zuigan-ji Temple (a national treasure.) The area is perfect for leisurely strolling around. You can stop by various shops and restaurants.
