We board the express boat MS Gyda and set course for the Vikings at Avaldsnes(approx.20min). You sail through "Norvegen", the strait that gave Norway its name. Our guide will tell stories from Viking times to the development of the oil and gas industry and today's green energy. At the old Viking harbor, you are welcomed by Viking guides whose tales will transport you back a 1000 years. The first part of the Netflix series, "Norsemen", was filmed here. Entrance fee included. There is time to explore the village on your own and participate in activities for children before we return. On return, our guide speaks of Haugesunds rich history.
