Why not enjoy matcha at Hinode-sanso which was visited by foreign VIPs-
Former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone invited the former US President, the former President of Soviet Union, and other foreign VIPs to Hinode-sanso, and built good relationships with them. Hinode-sanso is also a memorial hall exhibiting photos of those times and you can feel the history of Hinode-machi as well as Japan. After a tour of Hinode-sanso, you will take off your shoes at Seiundo, sit in the tatami room, and have matcha and Japanese sweets. Feel free to enjoy matcha and sweets without worrying to much about Japanese manners.
