Overview

Chon-Kemin is considered as the longest gorge in Kyrgyzstan located 150 km to the east of capital Bishkek and it stretches for 100 km along the mountains northerly and parallel to Lake Issyk-Kul.

It is a place where warmth reigns in the valley and green meadows bloom, while at an altitude of 4700 m - vast, ever-snowy ranges of Kungei-Ala-Too and Ili Ala-Too mountains are placed. It is an awesome opportunity to have a hiking or climbing tour here.

A valley is full of vegetation, green alpine meadows, clean cold water from glaciers, a dark spruce forest covering the high slopes of the Chon-Kemin. Together with forests and steppes, the Chon-Kemin river flowing from the Ala-Too mountains decorates the gorge territory.
