This tour is a great opportunity to enjoy to the largest and most beautiful mountains of Kola Peninsula, which is more than 350 million years old.
They are rich in different stones and minerals, many of which can be found nowhere else in the world. At the foot of the mountains there are two cities – Apatity and Kirovsk, and along the western sides of the Khibiny you can see beautiful lake Imandra. You will enjoy the majestic mountain sceneries and visit the Mineralogy Museum which has a unique collection of minerals from all over the world.
Itinerary:
Breakfast at the hotel
09:45 am - 06:00 pm - observing opened quarry where minerals are extracted, walking to the shore of spectacular Imandra lake (the largest lake of Kola peninsula), visiting the cities of Apatity and Kirovsk, lunch in Kirovsk, visiting Snow village (snow cave with Ice sculptures), visiting mining and mineralogical museum in Kirovsk city, watching an unique collection of stones and minerals from all over the world.
