At the waterfall you'll find lush green tropical jungles. You have the option of going down to the water or simply admiring the beautiful views and taking picturesque photographs from atop the hill.

"Tirta Empul" translates to "Holy Spring" in Balinese. The temple complex contains a petirtaan or bathing structure which is famous for its holy spring water where Hindu devotees go to purify themselves. In addition to its spring which regularly provides fresh water that is considered amritha (or holy) by Hindus in Bali, visitors can observe locals conducting sacred blessings here.
