(28 Reviews )

Duration

clock8 hours

Overview

Being the meeting point, our offices in the tourist pier of Ushuaia, we go in our modern minibuses in a northeast direction along the National 3 & J routes, on the way to the legendary Harberton Ranch, always accompanied by our specialized guides
providing the best information and evacuating any questions that may arise. We sail from the Harberton pier to Martillo Island, a 15-minute ride, in a semi-rigid boat (ship suitable for navigation in the area). On the island, we will walk for 1 hour between Papuan and Magellanic penguins, always with a guide, experiencing a unique adventure.
Penguins settle on the island during the summer, sharing their habitat with other birds, such as skuas (their main predator), petrels, cormorants, vultures, and South American terns. Isla Martillo, in the Beagle Channel, is part of Estancia Harberton, and home to the penguins
    Magellanic (Spheniscus magellanicus).
