Sintra Forest Hike
Starting from Peninha, one of the highest summits of Sintra’s mountain range, with a 360 view to Cascais, Lisbon and Ericeira, we walk through the luxuriant forest. Along the way, we take some time to admire the impressive boulder fields and local flora, as we make our way to Adrenunes. From here we walk to Tholos do Monge, a prehistoric burial site, before looping around to the starting point. All in the company of a geographer guide to explain what you see. Distance: 7km to 10km
2. Sintra Coast Hike
Starting from one of Sintra’s many beaches (Maçãs, Grande, Adraga) we walk along the coastal paths through sand, bushes, gravel, cliffs and valleys to uncover some of the most beautiful natural views you’ll find anywhere in the country. With breathtaking rock formations, sea stacks, exotic plants, wildlife and even dinosaur footprints, you’ll have a geographer guide to help explain what you see.Distance: 5km - 9km
