This is the perfect day for those who want it all: action, adventure, fun and excitement! Breath the pure air rich with the scents of local herbs and plants and admire the spectacular views. We visit “Parque da Mina”, a thematic park where you can visit a house dating from the beginning of the 18th. Century, that still keeps all the typical furniture of that period, as well as an old copper and iron mine, the old farm with over a hundred types of birds, ponies and goats and a recreation of an old “medronho” distillery. Next we head to the Lagos to visit the Lagos Zoo. With over 120 different species of animals and 200 botanical species, Lagos Zoo offers a fun and educational day out for the whole family. If you and your family are also in need of some light refreshments, Lagos Zoo has 2 snack bars to choose from within the grounds and the rustic, very reasonably priced Restaurant Cangalho just outside.
There are also 2 playgrounds for the kids to monkey around in.
