Cabarete is a town in the Puerto Plata province of the Dominican Republic. It was founded in 1835 by the British merchant Zephaniah Kingsley along with his mixed-race family, and 53 slaves he freed from his Florida plantations. Several descendants of the Kingsleys and of the former slaves live in the area today. It is a tourist area that combines mountains, lagoons, and white sand beaches. The calm waters, combined with breezy conditions on beaches like Cabarete and Kite, make it a center for water sports. The area has a number of hotels, shops, bars, nightclubs and numerous restaurants. Top famous sights in the city are Playa Encuentro, Cabarete Bay, Kite Beach, Casa Marina Beach and Playa Sosua.
Cabarete is a very safe vacation place. Visitors can book Airport transfers and other transport services for easy movement within and outside the city, spend the days exploring attractions on day trips and excursions within and outside the city, take surfing lessons, learn how to fly a kite on the beach and go on city cruise tours in Cabarete.
Tourists who do not mind some adventure would love outdoor activities where they can go hiking and jump into the waterfalls of Damajagua in Puerto Plata. The many beaches would make the best spots to roll around and play water sports with others. To make the most of your journey, Tripindicator is your go-to travel agency.
