Ministro Pistarini International Airport is a modern International Airport with 2 main Terminal buildings located around 22KM south of the city of Buenos Aires. The airport was designed as part of a wider public transportation network designed to reinvigorate Argentina, but has instead outgrown its original expectations, and many of the rail links have not been necessary thanks to the road connections that have been built in their place. The airport is designed to handle around 10 million passengers per year, and is being upgraded and extended as the amount of air travel in the country increases.
Argentina is one of the most breathtaking countries in the world, and offers a huge range of different experiences to visitors. From the wide open plains of the Pampas and Patagonia in the south of the country through to the stunning jungle scenery in the north around Iguassu Falls, Argentina is a country that many people enjoy exploring. Self Drive touring trips around the country are becoming increasingly popular, and as such, hiring a car in Buenos Aires in order to see Argentina at your own pace is a great idea.
Airport car hire at Buenos Aires Airport is available in both Terminal s A and B. The desks in Terminal A are located in the arrivals area just by the main exit. The desks in Terminal B are located on the Mezzanine level overlooking the exits and are easy to find in both buildings. You can book car hire with Thrifty, Sixt , Hertz and Avis.
From the centre of Buenos Aires, you should head along the coast to the edge of the Ecological Reserve by the port and join the Au 25 de Mayo which heads inland to Ciudad Madero. When you pass through this neighbourhood you then join the main airport motorway, which takes traffic quickly and conveniently to the airport. The motorway arrives in the middle of the Terminal buildings and leads directly into the car park areas.
