East Midlands Airport is situated in the village of Castle Donington, 8 miles south-east of Derby, 20 miles north of Leicester and 14 miles south-west of Nottingham. If you are coming from Nottingham or the North then you will need to get onto the A453 and go through 2 roundabouts before taking the 3rd exit at the next roundabout onto Ashby Road/A453 heading to Castle Donington. Because of the size of the village the location of the airport will become apparent once you have made this turning.
If you are coming from Leicester or the South then you will to travel north up the M1 before getting off at Junction 23a towards A453/A50/Stoke. Merge onto the A42 and then take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto Ashby Road, heading to Castle Donington.
