Indira Gandhi International Airport is located in west Delhi around 10 miles south of the centre of New Delhi. The airport is the second busiest in India, handling around 46 million passengers each year, and following on from the major renovations and developments that were carried out at the airport for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, it has now become an award winning and fast growing travel hub for the country that is intended to handle around 100 million passengers within the next 20 years.

From Connaught Place in the centre of New Delhi, you should first head west on ISBT Road, which leads to Sedar Bazaar. From Kamla Nagar, turn onto the NH8 motorway, which heads southwest from the city centre and takes you past Pusa Hill Forest direct to the airport. You should turn right off the motorway at Mahipalpur into the main Terminal area. The journey is around 12 miles by road.
