Dubai Airport Transfer

• Airport Transfer by Train

You can board the Dubai Airport metro to the city’s center from terminal 1 and 3. The green and red lines are available to board from these terminals. The journey takes about 40 minutes and the train ticket costs $2. The trains run this route frequently every 10 minutes, so you would not have a problem waiting for it, the disadvantage of using the metro is that it doesn’t operate at night.

• Airport Transfer by Bus/Couch

Getting a bus from the airport is possible and bus are available at all times. You can get a bus outside Terminal 1 and 2 of the airport. A bus journey to the city’s center can take you approximately 60 minutes at $2. These buses also make several stops at different bus stations before they arrive at the city’s center. Buses are also available to remote parts of the city. Cash payments are not accepted for any mode of transfer, you will need to get a Nol card. There are 4 types of this card but the ones most suitable for visitors is the silver card ($6.81) or the red ticket ($0.54).

• Using Airport Transfer by Taxi

You can get a taxi from terminal 1, 2 and 3 of the airport. There are several taxis available and you can arrive in central Dubai in less than an hour. You can also get a taxi to take you to any location in the city.

• Private Airport Taxi Transfer

This mode of transfer is a convenient transfer option and the best, especially for tourists. To get to the city’s center the journey takes not more than 50 minutes.

• Airport Car Rentals

To rent a car you would need an International driver’s license, credit card, and a passport. Car rental companies available at the airport include Avis, Budget, Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty, United, Yasi, Asia Autolease, Fast, Continental and Diamond lease
