Visit 3 wineries with a wine tasting at each, mainly of roses as that is their specialty, accompanied by a wine guide/driver who speaks English. Enjoy a light lunch at the second winery. Learn about the region and wine from your grape guide.
The trip out to Provence's main area for top vineyards will be around an hour each way. An expert English-speaking guide will discuss the region and its vineyards on the way so that any questions you might have can be answered even before you arrive at the first vineyard. Visit the cellars of 2 wineries (and have a tasting at a third) during the day, meet the local guides or owners and taste a variety of wines, mainly roses as that is the specialty. Lunch will be a typical French meal in a local countryside Bistro consisting of 2 courses and more wine to enjoy the meal with. Learn about the vineyards, the varieties used and techniques in growing. You'll also be educated about the various winemaking methods, hear the history of the castles, and the interesting bits about general area.
