Founded as a Mission in 1724, the vibrant village of Todos Santos is a small coastal town lodged in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, on the Pacific coast side of the Baja California Peninsula in Mexico. Todos Santos is only a few hours southwest of La Paz. It used to be known for its sugar cane production. Other attractions of the town includes Playa Los Cerritos, Tortugueros Las Playitas, Palm Beach, Iglesia De Nuestra Senora Pilar, Punta Lobos, Galeria Logan, Playa La Cachora, La Sonrisa de la Muerte, Calle Benito Juárez, etc. Airport transfers can be booked by visitors.
Todos Santos is marked by a unique tropical setting between desert and ocean and is consequently furnished with a myriad of birds that visitors can watch during bus tours. Snorkelling with whale sharks and sea lions in the permanent sea lion colony of Los Islotes is one adventure opportunity that does not come everyday as is made available during cruise tours in Todos Santos. Strikingly amazing is the kayaking experience in the Sea of Cortez with the natural beauty in a dramatic setting that leads to the UNESCO-listed World Heritage site with scenery marked by a rugged shoreline, desert islands and white sandy beaches seen during water sports activities. With its rich and varied history, Todos Santos' cultural evolution is a subject of exploration for visitors during historical tours through the city's early missionaries days to its present establishment as an artists’ colony, agricultural center and surfing hot-spot. The Pacific bluff of Todos Santos offers a hiking experience and fascinating landscapes that thrills visitors to no end during outdoor activities in Todos Santos.
