Boston city has three airports to choose between when flying in or out of the city. Our goal is to summarize all the information you need to know when considering a trip to this beautiful city.
Logan International Airport (BOS) is closest to the city centre and it is conveniently located on the Boston City Bus, Metro and Taxi services. This makes travel to the city no longer and less expensive from BOS. Most of the domestic and international flights take off from Logan International Airport, and Manchester Boston Regional Airport (MHT). T. F. Green Airport (PVD) on the other hand is a secondary airport that helps relieve BOS.

Logan International airport is the best airport to fly into Boston, it serves major airlines giving passengers a choice of which airlines to use. Logan is the main hub and the largest airport in Massachusetts and airlines include Air Canada, Air Asia, Emirates, Air Canada, Air France, Air Europa, Australian Airlines, Easy Jet, Egypt Air, Easy Jet Switzerland, Thai Airways, Small Planet Airlines, Sun Express, Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa and many others handling both domestic and international flights across the continents. The airport is closer to central Boston and is connected by fast SL1 bus lines which takes 15 minutes to the city centre. You can get to any part of the city easily from this airport and even to see all the top attractions. You might experience a lot of crowd and long queues because it is Boston's primary airport. Also, Logan is a large airport which can be daunting to navigate on foot but it has free airport inter-terminal shuttle buses available.
Manchester Boston Regional Airport is 83.52 km away from the city centre so passenger transfer takes a lot of time and can be inconvenient due to stop and hop from one bus to another. The airport handles mostly domestic flights within the US, it is a smaller airport serving budget airlines like JaAmerican Airlines, Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. It takes 77 minutes (1h 17m) to the city centre from the airport using the MTA Bus Route 3. This airport is for travellers on a budget or tourists with time to spare on long transfers to the city centre.

T. F Green airport is actually a reliever for Logan international, therefore, it handles more passengers than Manchester Boston Regional airport. Green airports ecause it has more facilities, more airlines, more transport options and it is closer to the city centre taking just 15 minutes using the MBTA SL1 line which will cost you from $1-$13 per trip. Being Boston's primary airport and also the largest in Massachusetts and New England area, it handles more crowd which can cause long queues at security/immigration and a few flights delays.
